Dr. P. L. Ravi Shankar

Dr. P. L. Ravi Shankar is Professor and Head of the Department of Periodontology at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital, bringing with him over 25 years of distinguished academic experience. He earned both his undergraduate (1994) and postgraduate (1997) degrees from Rajah Muthiah Dental College, Annamalai University. A leading authority in Periodontology, he has authored more than 95 scientific publications and received several prestigious awards in recognition of his contributions to the specialty. He is also the author of notable books, including Short Notes in Periodontics, Peri-Implantitis, and Psychosomatic Factors in Periodontology.
