Description
It is a matter of immense joy for me that I am presenting before you the heroic poetic work of my respected father late Dr. Laxmi Narayan Kushwaha, ‘Bihar Kesari Veer Kunwar Singh’ epic.
The poet has used the word ‘explosion’ to divide the parts of this epic. The word ‘explosion’ itself is a new imagination of the poet. In the epic described from the first explosion to the sixteenth explosion, along with Veer Ras, Raudra Ras, Shanta Ras, Shringar Ras is also seen. The style of this epic is fluid. From the point of view of Ras Alankar, Pravritti Chhand, language and style, it has all the characteristics of ‘Veer Kavya Paripati’. The language of this epic is literary Khadi Boli, simple and acceptable.
Due to some unavoidable reasons, the epic ‘Bihar Kesari Veer Kunwar Singh’ has been published and has come to us 25 years after the death of my respected father. I express my special gratitude to the respected Doctor Subhash Chandra Kushwaha, Head of the Hindi Department of Radhe Hari Raj Postgraduate College, Kashipur (Udham Singh Nagar). From time to time, he used to inspire me to publish the works of my respected father. Our respected mother, brother Soumitra Kushwaha, Vinita Kushwaha and Vishwas Kushwaha had an invaluable contribution in publishing the epic ‘Bihar Kesari Veer Kunwar Singh’.
