Taneesha Publishing

Marketing & Promotion Policy

This Marketing & Promotion Policy (“Policy”) forms an integral part of the Self-publishing Service Agreement between Taneesha Publishing (an imprint of Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication) (“Publisher”) and the contracting author (“Author”).

At Taneesha Publishing (an imprint of Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication), our expertise is centered on book designing, publishing, printing, inventory management, and ecommerce listing. We value clarity and transparency in our author relationships, which is why we wish to clearly define our role regarding marketing and promotion.

The purpose of this Policy is to define the scope and limitation of the Publisher’s obligations in relation to marketing, promotion, publicity, and sales of the Author’s work. By entering into a publishing agreement, the Author expressly acknowledges and agrees to the following:

SCOPE OF OUR SERVICES

When you choose to publish with us, our responsibility is focused on publishing-related activities only. This includes:

1. Manuscript Editing & Formatting (if included in your package)

– Correcting grammar, spelling, syntax, and ensuring the text is professional and reader-friendly.
– Structuring and formatting the manuscript as per publishing standards (font, layout, page design, margins, etc.).

2. Book Cover Designing

– Creating professional book covers (front, back, and spine) that reflect the genre, theme, and overall appeal of the book.

3. Printing Support

– Offering professional printing options (paperback, hardcover, etc.) with quality control to ensure durability and aesthetics.

4. ISBN & Copyright Assistance (if included in your package)

– Helping with ISBN assignment to make your book identifiable in the publishing ecosystem.
– Guiding on copyright registration or legal protections (where applicable).

5. Distribution Support

– Making your book available for sale by listing it on online platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, and others where applicable).
– Ensuring smooth backend processes like metadata creation, category selection, and book description uploads.

Important Clarification:
These services ensure that your book is professionally published and made available for readers to purchase. However, availability is not the same as visibility. Visibility (promotion, reaching readers, and creating awareness) falls under marketing, which is outside our scope.

WHAT WE DO NOT PROVIDE

It is equally important to clarify what does not fall within our role:

1. No Marketing or Promotion Services

We do not provide any services like paid ads, social media promotions, author branding, PR campaigns, book reviews, or media outreach.

2. No Publicity or Advertising

We do not engage in promotional events, author interviews, or press coverage activities.

3. No Guarantees on Book Sales or Bestseller Status

We cannot and do not promise sales figures, rankings, or reader engagement, as these depend on factors beyond publishing.

4. No Marketing Expertise

Our company is dedicated to publishing, not marketing. While we understand the publishing industry well, promotions require specialized professionals, and hence, this remains outside our services.

Clarification on Distribution vs. Marketing:
Listing a book on platforms like Amazon or Flipkart is part of distribution support (making your book available to buy). This should not be misunderstood as marketing or promotion. Marketing means actively creating awareness, visibility, and demand — which is the author’s responsibility.

AUTHOR’S RESPONSIBILITY

The journey of a book does not end with publishing — it begins there. For a book to reach readers, the author must take ownership of promotion.

1. Marketing & Promotion Efforts

– Authors are encouraged to promote their book via personal networks, social media platforms, literary events, email lists, and collaborations.
– Professional marketing agencies or book promoters can also be hired for a structured campaign.

2. Sales Depend on Multiple Factors

– Success of a book depends on its content quality, target audience interest, pricing strategy, and above all, consistent promotion.
– Even a well-written book may not sell if it lacks awareness and visibility in the market.

3. Long-Term Author Engagement

– Building an author brand requires patience, consistent engagement with readers, and ongoing marketing efforts.
– Authors should consider promotional investments as part of their long-term career growth, not just one-time efforts.

Important Notice

By choosing our publishing services, authors agree and acknowledge the following:

– Publishing a book does not automatically result in sales or bestseller recognition.
– Commercial success requires sustained author-led marketing efforts.
– Our expertise is strictly limited to publishing, printing, designing, and distribution support.
– Any expectations related to marketing, promotions, or guaranteed book sales are beyond our scope.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

We at Taneesha Publishing believe in honesty and transparency. We never make false promises about book sales or market success. Instead, we focus on what we do best — helping authors professionally publish their work and make it available for purchase worldwide.

The Publisher shall not be liable for any loss of profits, opportunities, or expectations arising from the commercial performance of the book.

The success of a book depends on author initiative, quality of content, and effective promotion. Authors who actively promote their books often see better results.
