Purushattom Bhattacharjee

Purushattom Bhattacharjee (b. 31st January 1981, Mahendraganj, Meghalaya) is a distinguished scholar, award-winning poet, lyricist, author, composer, singer, philosopher, and orator. A rare blend of intellect and soul, his works—written in English, Bengali, and Hindi—span themes of love, devotion, spirituality, nationalism, psychology, and human emotion.

He is the author of acclaimed poetry collections including Kobitar Majhe Peyechi Tomay (2019), Hrid Majharei Roya Gecho (2021), Kobita Kotha Kou (2022), Beckon of Poesy (2022), and Parini Go Bhulte Tomay (2024). His contributions have earned him numerous national and international awards, including the Aparna Roy Memorial Prize (2002), Best Poet Sahitya Award (2006), Prime Authors’ Award (2021), Mukti International Literary Award (2021), Saraswat Samman (2022), Bharat Gaurav Award (2023), and Bankim Chandra Smriti Smarak Samman (2024), among others.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English Literature, Purushattom continues to inspire readers worldwide with poetry and prose that transcend time, culture, and language.
