Dr. Ravi Shankar P. L.

Dr. Ravi Shankar P. L. is a distinguished academician and clinician with over 25 years of experience in Periodontics. He served as Professor and Head of the Department of Periodontics at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital from 2014 to February 2026. He completed his BDS in 1994 and MDS in Periodontics in 1997 at Rajah Muthiah Dental College and Hospital. Renowned for his expertise in laser dentistry and mucogingival surgeries, he has authored 95 publications in national and international journals and has received three awards. He is also the author of several well-regarded books in periodontology and is a frequent speaker at national and state-level scientific conferences.
