Dr. R. Niranjani

Dr. R. Niranjani is an Assistant Professor of Zoology at St. Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India, specializing in Aquaculture and Toxicology. Her research focuses on the toxic effects of heavy metals such as copper and cadmium on freshwater fish, along with the ameliorative role of dietary supplements like Spirulina.

She has published 8 peer-reviewed research articles in national and international journals. She is an inventor and patent applicant (Application No. 202441026886) for an “Aquaculture Waste Management System for Ecosystem Preservation,” published in the IPO Journal.

Dr. Niranjani has presented her research at various national and international conferences and received the Best Paper Presentation Award at St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai (2016). She has actively participated in over 30 faculty development programmes, workshops, webinars, and conferences, reflecting her dedication to academic excellence and professional growth.
