Dr. Karuna Peter ‘Kamal’

Dr. Karuna Peter ‘Kamal’, born on 24 June 1976, is a distinguished Hindi scholar, educator, and writer. She completed her postgraduate studies in Psychology from Patna University and Hindi from Nalanda Open University, and later earned her Ph.D. in Hindi from Magadh University. For the past 25 years, she has been serving as a Hindi Professor at Don Bosco, dedicating her career to teaching and promoting Hindi literature.

Dr. Karuna Peter ‘Kamal’ has actively contributed to the literary world through numerous articles, stories, and poems published in various magazines and journals. Her notable published work includes the book “Narendra Kohli ke Upanyason mein Swami Vivekanand ka Jeevancharitra.” She has also participated in several shared poetry and literary anthologies, such as Kavita Hiy Ke Aangan Mein, Kavya Payodhi, Corona Kaal Aur Shiksha, Corona Ki Aap Beeti, Sapna Ka Anubandh, Aharanish, and Dhanak Dinkar: Samay Ka Surya.

For her literary contributions, she has received several honors including the Ambalika Devi Saraswat-Sadhna Award from Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Patna; the Sharda Samman from Kavya Rangoli Hindi Literary Magazine (Uttar Pradesh); the Kavya Shri Arnav Samman from Arnav Prakashan; the Shreshth Rachnakar Samman, Bihar Gaurav Samman, Guru Samman from Manavadhikar Today, Vaishali; and the Shri Kavya Ratna Samman from Kalam Ki Sugandh.

In addition to her literary achievements, she has received a Certificate of Skilled Orator from the Cabinet Secretariat (Official Language) Department and serves as the Associate Editor of the quarterly literary magazine “Sahitya Yatra.”
