Dr. Inderjeet Singh Bhati

Dr. Inderjeet Singh Bhati is a distinguished Judicial Officer serving in the Gujarat Judicial Services since 2013. With over a decade of experience in adjudicating civil and criminal cases, he has earned recognition for his balanced approach, judicial integrity, and unwavering commitment to justice and human rights. His work reflects a deep understanding of procedural fairness, evidentiary rigour, and constitutional safeguards. He holds a Doctorate in Law (Ph.D., 2020) for his research on “Transgressions of Rights of the Accused,” a study that critically examines the systemic challenges faced by accused persons within the criminal justice system. In 2024, he was awarded a prestigious Post-Doctoral Fellowship by the Mediterranea International Centre for Human Rights Research, Raggio Calabria, Italy, for the academic year 2024–2025 — a recognition of his scholarly depth and dedication to advancing global human rights discourse.

Dr. Bhati combines his judicial experience with academic engagement through research, writing, and participation in legal forums. His recent publication, a book chapter titled “Rights of Transgender Children” in Unflinched Childhood (INSC International Publishers, 2024), highlights his commitment to vulnerable and marginalized populations. An active participant in national and international conferences, Dr. Bhati has presented papers on rights of the accused, judicial ethics, child rights, and procedural justice.
